NOTD: What a Stud ;)...

One trend I currently can't get enough of at the moment are studs - I've got studs on my tops, dresses, ballerina pumps, bags - now it's time to take it to the next level and "stud-ify" my nails ;).

Here is the current look of my nails, loving the rock n' roll feel to them combined with one of my favorite nail shades!

To create this look, I used:
1. 2mm Nail Studs (ebay!)
2. Bottom Coat: Essie in Fishnet Stockings
3. Top Coat: Nailene Crystal Hard
4. Tweezers

This look literally took me no longer than 15 minutes to create bold, eccentric and edgy nails! I applied two coats of Essie for the  bottom base, and while the second coat was still wet I placed the studs onto my nails. Then I finished it off with one coat of the Nailene Crystal Hard to ensure the studs were firmly placed and give my nails a glossy look.

Let me know what you think, and whether you would give this "daring" look to your own nails!

2012 Beauty Favourites!

Hello Everyone! Happy new year and a very warm welcome to 2013 :).

Twenty-twelve has definitely been the year of discovering and falling in love with beauty products that have without a doubt, become staple items in my beauty collection! Here is a quick round up of each item, and why I can't stop raving about them!

1. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: How I lived without this palette is the question I am asking myself! An amazing range of highly-pigmented, earthy colours to produce stunning smoky eye results.

2. Chanel Nail Polish (491: Rose Confidentiel): A  classy, soft and rose like colour, as the name suggests! As expected, two coats is sufficient enough to produce a rich and opaque look - with no signs of chipping for a good few days!

3. Mac Dollymix Blush: By far one of the best blushers I have ever used! Long lasting and highly pigmented, therefore a little product goes a long way. I've hit pan, which means a replacement of this will be in need soon! This is the first Mac product I have used, can't wait to explore more of their products!

4. Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Cream (Gentle Beige 02) - I actually use this as a concealer and to cover up blemishes and it applies beautifully, with great coverage. It smells gorgeous too!

5. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle eau de Parfum - Beautiful, sophisticated, classy,  feminine and timeless. A must have for every classy lady out there!

6. Sigma Flat Kabuki Brush (F80) - One word: WOW. This brush is super soft and produces a flawless finish - I won't be looking for a new foundation brush anytime soon!

7. The Body Shop: Vitamin C Skin Reviver - This is a definite staple item in my make-up routine, I cannot apply my make-up without having applied this first! This gives my skin a healthy and silky smooth finish and helps my make-up glide on flawlessly!

And there you have it ladies, my beauty favourites of 2012. Feel free to leave comments about your thoughts of my list...I'd love to hear about your favourites too!

Top 5 Most Used Winter Items

The UK weather is so unpredictable in recent times, I feel like we've experience all four seasons in one season alone! Anyways, here is my Top 5 most used winter items:

1. Slippers
These Minnie Mouse novelty slippers are so much fun! Not to mention it literally feels like I'm walking on cushions - heaven! You can find these slippers here.

2. Knitted Snood
This definitely has to be my most used clothing accessory of not only 2012 winter but 2011 winter too. I love how it completes my outfit at the same time keeping me warm! I got this from Primark (£4, if I remember correctly!). I wear it on average once a week and it's been in the wash many times and the quality remains the same - bargain!!

3. Coat
(Also shown in the picture above). Now this is the most obvious item in the list! I purchased this coat last winter, and yet again it is another item I'm making very good use of. I love the fitting, the colour and the button and belt design. I'm always receiving compliments on it, quite a few surprised faces when I say it's from New Look...never underestimate New Look!

4. Kintted Shawl Wrap
I am in LOVE with this wrap! The softness, the length, the colour - it's perfect! Ok so it may not keep you very warm in extremely cold weather conditions, but it is PERFECT for when you're only outdoors for a short amount of time, or when you're indoors and you need to wear that little extra clothing item to keep you warm. I wrap it around me for when I'm heading to parties/weddings, it looks so classy or even when I'm just visiting family who live a few minutes away. You can find it here from Marks and Spencers, £19.50 which is great value in my opinion. Considering getting the black one too hmm...

5. Nail Polish
So this isn't a really winter specific item, but it's something I've been using a lot during this season. I'm usually a bright, in-your-face kind of nail polish girl however this winter I'm loving the more dark, dusky, and deep nail polish colours. Currently, I am loving the combination of this grey and lilac paint. I can't help looking at my nails constantly and thinking to myself why I hadn't got these colours sooner?!

And that's my top 5! Oh, one item I would like to add to this top five winter items is a new, resilient umbrella, after the devastating consequences the great British weather had on my last umbrella...

Happy New Year everyone :D!
